A Client Part Number (CPN) is an internal identifier an organization assigns to a component or material used in its products. A CPN can link to one or more approved manufacturer part numbers (MPNs), allowing teams to manage interchangeable parts under a single reference. CPNs support consistent tracking across engineering, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing.
