Contract Manufacturer
A contract manufacturer (CM) is a company that produces parts, assemblies, or finished products on behalf of another organization, following that organization’s designs and specifications. In electronics, contract manufacturers are also commonly called electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers. Their services may include component sourcing, printed circuit board assembly, testing, and final product assembly, helping companies access manufacturing expertise and capacity without operating their own production facilities.
